A Man’s Prerogative (Part 1)

Sometimes, it seems as though men get the shorter end of the stick in life. It seems that a lot of people forget how much they do and give and concern themselves with only the suffering of the women – childbirth etc. and they might feel a tad unappreciated or neglected which is a shame because the world must respect and give credit to a man because before him lies responsibilities of all kinds.

Responsibility – That is one word that must make up the right of a man. You see, to be a man is what I consider a responsibility.
A woman can go through life being supported and catered to all her life and still prosper but the life of a man remains empty if he does not take care of the psychological, physical, spiritual and emotional aspects of his life. Ergo, you can have all the fame, success and money in the world but if your life is not fully developed then, you are lacking and you have not fully attained your rights as a man
Highlighted below is what we consider the right/privilege and what it takes to be a man.

Being Real
There’s something about real men – what you see is what you get. There are no hidden words in his statements, no right words left unsaid, no wrong words believed and no work left undone. He is who he is unapologetically – whether that is a man who likes to go through life in steps or one who lives for the rush of motions. His words are true, his actions are supported and his heart is open. He makes the most of his life in every situation.

Passion
This might seem like something so trivial but it means so much. A man should never hold back especially not in the bedroom. He should not shy away from intimacy. When he makes loves, he lets the raw side of him out and he gives his partner everything that he’s got. He touches her and he invades her so deeply that she feels it in her deepest part… in her soul. He works for her heart without trying and he can make her feel like a saint and a porn star all in one breath. He takes it so seriously that he doesn’t just give it to anybody.

Resilience.

A man must bear. He must be able to go through the worst of times and still keep standing. He must never be too comfortable that he can’t start all over again at any time or in any situation. He needs to be flexible and reliable for the ones that will come to depend on him. He is never a victim, always a victor.

Courageous
Being courageous here does not mean being without fear, it means admitting to your fears and facing them head-on. It also means admitting that you do have fears. A man should not have to put on a mask invulnerability so that he comes off as courage. Courage is working on those fears until you go beyond them.

Value
A man must have value. He must be worth more than anything countable. His life must make a meaning and contribute to the world-at-large in any way (however small). He is never working for himself or for his protection or safety but for the help of everyone and anyone else.

Heart
A man has heart. He doesn’t hide his feelings, emotions or intentions. He has no problems with exhibiting and expressing his emotions. He is compassionate about others and he really cares beyond the normal.
